We’re all familiar with email, voicemail, and SMS text. But many property managers have yet to implement these basic tools. The technology is there, yet slow to be utilized.
For example, email can be used to create “push” only information, to reach a vast audience without fear of engaging in never ending email threads.
Organize recipients into groups, for example by riser #, owner/tenant status, floor number, even whether or not they are a pet owner. Digi-Notice has a handy system for achieving this, that lets you choose to send the message by voice and/or SMS text to boot. http://digi-notice.com/digi-notice-send/
How about Twitter? If you have willing participants who follow your corporation’s Twitter account, they can get up to the minute info when it is important, Seriously, when Rogers, or Netflix or big companies are “down”, their customers often flock to Twitter first to find out what is going on. It’s fast and to the point. Remember the flash flood during the summer of 2013? Lots of condo owners could have sought info on Twitter. And if this is your demographic, you’re missing the boat if you don’t use it.
Bottom line is, a lot of the technology is very “yesterday”. The future is in the implementation.
